Who we help

Homes, rentals, holiday lets & shops

Out-of-hours maintenance isn't a luxury — for half of Brighton it's the only kind that works.

Homeowners & renters

An evening handyman means no more burning annual leave for a dripping tap. We work around your day, across Brighton, Hove and beyond.

Evenings & weekends

Landlords & letting agents

Rental property maintenance and repairs scheduled around your tenants' working hours — fewer failed access visits, faster turnaround, photos on completion.

Repeat rates available

Airbnb & holiday-let hosts

Same-day fixes between check-out and check-in. Broken bed slat at 10am, guests at 3pm? Holiday-let turnaround repairs are our bread and butter.

Changeover-day friendly

Shops, cafés & small businesses

Commercial maintenance after closing time — repairs, mounting and refits done in the evening so you never shut mid-trade or lose a Saturday's takings.

After-closing visits

Working from home?

We'll still come after hours if you'd rather keep work calls interruption-free — or book a weekend morning slot instead.

You choose the slot

Block & property managers

Communal area repairs and small works across managed blocks in Sussex, timed to avoid disturbing residents.

Texts from customers

Don't take our word for it

The morning-after messages are our favourite part of the job.

Tap fixed by 8pm, kitchen left spotless, and I didn't have to book a day off work. Why doesn't everyone do this?

Texted the estimate from the website Saturday morning, wardrobe built by lunch. Price matched the quote to the pound.

Managed three rentals for years and never found anyone who'd do evening call-outs. OddHours is now my first text for everything.

Good to know

Questions, answered straight

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No call-out fee. You get a fixed price by text before we book anything, and that's what you pay. If we turn up and genuinely can't fix it, you pay nothing. The only baseline is a £60 minimum per visit — so it's worth bundling a couple of small jobs into one booking.

Why are evening and weekend rates slightly higher?

The estimator shows it upfront: evenings run about 15% above daytime rates and weekend evenings about 25%. That's the honest cost of a service that works when you're actually home — and it's still cheaper than taking half a day off work.

Can you do Airbnb or holiday-let repairs between guests?

Yes — changeover-window jobs are one of our specialities. WhatsApp us a photo in the morning and in most cases it's sorted before check-in. Hosts and landlords can ask about priority booking.

Are you insured and DBS checked?

Yes — full public liability insurance and an up-to-date DBS check. Happy to show both on arrival, and it's a fair thing to ask of anyone coming to your home in the evening.

What jobs won't you take on?

Anything legally requiring a specialist: gas work needs a Gas Safe engineer, and major electrical work (new circuits, fuse boards) needs a Part P certified electrician. We'll tell you straight away if a job is one of those, and point you in the right direction.

How do I pay?

We take both cash and card. Pay cash on the doorstep, ask us to text a secure card payment link once the job's done, or settle by bank transfer — whatever's easiest for you.

What areas do you cover?

Brighton and Hove as the core patch, plus Worthing, Shoreham-by-Sea, Lewes and the surrounding parts of East and West Sussex. Not sure if you're in range? Send a message — if we can't come, we'll say so straight away.
